This is a solid, little stovetop espresso maker the Bacchi way! Although expensive, it is an item not only to cherish its looks, but also the espresso one can produce during the ritual of a camp side fire.To taste a real excellent espresso coffee, rich in flavor and aroma, the places to visit are establishments in Italy called "bar". Expensive and complex professional espresso machines and excellent coffee blends ground to perfection can be found in such "bars". Excellent bar 'tenders', called BARistas in the USA, will serve an espresso prepared according to the perfect traditional procedures taught in Italy.Today, if there are no baristas available in your home, you can have all that by using the "Bacchi Espresso" machine comfortably at home. The water used to produce coffee in the "Bacchi Espresso" model can reach the traditional 8-9 bar pressure and 85-90 degree temperature. This innovative machine operates according to a new system that can multiply the brew pressure, obtains the correct thermal conduction, and can reproduce the conditions achieved by a means of a professional espresso machine.
"Great machine - huge crema. DOES REQUIRE MAINTENANCE"

Review: This machine is quite forgiving, and can produce exceptional (really) espresso. It DOES require maintenance from time to time, but much less (and much cheaper) than a "regular" espresso machine. A couple small tubes and some food grade lube and you could use this for the rest of your life.

It has consistently produced excellent espresso shots as long as the directions for use are followed. I would recommend this machine to a friend without hesitation.

Review: This is completely unlike the typical stovetop machine of the past, with a water chamber that boils, operating at atmospheric pressure. This is a pressurized system using steam to drive a piston which forces hot water through the grounds. The espresso it makes is excellent, with a thick, rich crema. The machine is very easy to use once you get the hang of it but there is a trial and error process at first. For example, the process is designed to take six minutes so that the water chamber can ach... More details

Review: I have only used a few times since receiving it yesterday but this machine is amazing. I have a La Pavoni lever machine I've used for 15 years so I'm used to a little extra effort. The Bacchi machine produces great crema and two full size double espressos with a single load. I purchased in order to use on my boat without having to have something to plug in and this will serve well.
