Overview:
Great for the home or office! The Bezzera BZ02S is designed to be left ON" all day! As the lowest priced heat exchange machine with no coffee buying commitment, you can not go wrong! A powerful pump (EAP5 made by ULKA) and swivel steam wand make the Bezzera one of the few home machines that can brew espresso and steam milk at the same time!
This machine has some of the same components as the Pasquini Livia 90 espresso machine. In fact, we confirmed that the Pasquini Livia 90 is made at the bezzera factory. The boiler, grouphead, brain unit, and relay are identical. Although the Bezzera espresso machines do not sport the beautiful stainless steel found on a Pasquini Livia 90, the pricing on the Bezzera BZ02 espresso machines does make it quite favorable to those customers looking to save money.
Features:
Automatic water-refill of boiler allows continuous production of delicious espresso, cappuccino, caf? latte, americano and much more! 15 Bar-rated three way solenoid valve relieves grouphead pressure which allows for quick and easy removal of filter handle immediately after extracting espresso Zero recovery time - continuously extract espresso, after espresso, after espresso.. Large, 1.5 liter copper boiler (0.2 liter included for heat exchanger) allows for continuous production WITHOUT any delay or wait time to steam milk for cappuccino!!! True, commercial heat exchanger is pumped fresh water from the water reservoir to the grouphead and filter holder! Water in the boiler is not used to make espresso. End Result: better tasting espresso coffee!!! Built-in expansion relief valve to allow excess pump water pressure be relieved into the drip tray to avoid overextraction of your espresso High 1200 wattage heating element gives you less than a 12 minute (approx. 9 minutes depending upon voltage) warm-up time Vacuum bleeder valve allows machine to be placed on a timer Computerized safety switch will turn the machine "OFF" when the water level is low in the reservoir - this prevents heating element burnout Additional sensor in boiler prevents electricity to heating element unless heating element is submerged in water - this prevents heating element burnout High limit thermal safety device located on boiler/heating element flange prevents electricity to heating element once 115 d C is reached - this prevents heating element burnout Quality framework completely powder-coated for anti-rust protection. The wire on the outside of the reservoir can be removed by pulling on the plastic electrical connector in the direction it is facing. It will slide off. For some strange reason, all stainless steel braided hose is designed in British Metric Units (BMU). A 3/8th" BMU is equivalent to a 3/8 inches NPT except for a slight change in the threading pitch. You need to crossthread a 3/8 inches NPT plastic adapter (usually found at Lowes) and crossthread until the s/s braided hose is not loose at the 3/8th" BMU nut at the end of same hose. Distilled water will not this machine to operate effectively. Reverse osmosis water with some mineral content, softened water, and/or bottled water are strongly recommended. Each machine is tested with water only, inspected, and calibrated for optimum performance! We make every effort to remove as much water from the boiler as possible. However, should your machine arrive wet, please allow it to air-dry for at least 48 hours. Enhance your Bezzera BZ02S espresso machine with a GoldPro2Hole Steam Wand Tip! Differences between BZ02 and BZ07 models: The BZ02 has plastic side panels with a stainless steel rear, and the BZ07 as stainless steel wraparound body. The BZ07 is a narrower machine, and due to this, the water wand and steam wand are very close to each other. The steam wand and hot water wand are on a bi-directional, horizontal axis for rotation while the same on the BZ07 is multi-directional. The grouphead on the BZ02 is welded to the boiler and the heat transfers passively while the BZ07 has a heating element with a thermostat to control temperature. The steam and hot water wands are controlled by a rotational knob on the BZ02 and a spring-loaded handle on the BZ07. Water tank assembly photo. The water tank on the Bezzera uses a special fitting that allows you to remove the tank while it contains water. This valve is simple, using a ball and spring. Some customers have requested instructions for disassembly. This is done by using a socket and pliers to unscrew the fitting.
