Overview:

Some descalers are too powerful and strip the metal off internal espresso machine components. Others are not powerful enough. We find the Ascaso descaler to be just right. Please follow the espresso machine manufacturer’s instructions first as every machine is different. As with any descaling agent, never allow the solution to sit on any external parts and wipe off any spillage/droplets immediately.

Notes:

  1. The instructions on the box say to use 1.5 liters of water and the instructions on the packet say to use 1 liter of water. We recommend what it says on the box, 1.5 liters.
  2. NOTE: Please follow the instructions included with your equipment before using the instructions on the packaging of this cleaner. If there are no instructions by the manufacturer, please contact the manufacturer directly. Please keep in mind that descaling an espresso machine can cause leakage at components that were damaged by limescale. 1st-line Equipment is not responsible for any loss, incidental or consequential damages from the use of this item.

      Sorry, there is no video for descaling this discontinued machine. You can try the Elizabeth descaling instructions. The difficult part is clearing the steam boiler of descaling solution as the hot water spout comes from the coffee boiler, and not the steam boiler. Therefore it may be best to not get any solution in the steam boiler.
