Features:
- Rapid Steam® - Rapid Steam® technology
reduces the normal waiting time between coffee brewing and steam
output to just a few seconds, so you can froth milk to make cappuccinos,
lattes, and macchiato coffee at the simple turn of the steam knob.
- Adjustable Built-In Ceramic Grinder - For
perfect-tasting coffee every time. The ceramic grinder is Saeco's
most recent innovation, available in all new models of the Saeco
range of automatic coffee machines. After careful research, Saeco
finally chose this material to put an end to grinding with metal
components. Ceramic is inert, and thus ensures the best results
without altering the flavor of the coffee. Moreover, it is perfectly
safe to use. The new ceramic grinder also provides a more consistent
grind, allowing perfect dosing and blending, and giving you more
control over the density and body of your coffee. And that's not
all - the amount of coffee residue left in the cup is substantially
reduced. Long-lasting, minimum noise! Thanks to its sturdy build,
the ceramic coffee grinder will quietly grind to the same consistency
and high standards for a longer period of time.
- Bean Hopper - The cover to the bean hopper
has three exciting features; there is a magnet integrated into
the cover so the machine will not operate when the cover is off
(important safety feature); the grinder adjustment key can be
used to change from one of three built in grind fineness settings;
and, there is a rubber seal on the bean hopper cover to maintain
bean freshness
- Pannarello Frothing Device - The Pannarello
frothing device dispenses steam in three different directions
and makes it easy to froth milk for cappuccinos and lattes. It
also dispenses hot water for making hot drinks and soups, and
is completely removable for easy cleaning.
- Aqua Prima Water Filter Capable - The Aqua
Prima water filter was developed to remove impurities from
your water that alter the taste of your coffee. The Aqua Prima
water filter’s purpose is to improve the taste of your coffee
while protecting your machine from limescale damage. Filter is
available at optional cost.
- GIRO interface - The GIRO interface dial allows
you to select how much water gets pump through the coffee grinds
and allows selection of three different amounts of whole bean
coffee to be ground.
- Saeco OptiDose - Adjustable 7-10.5 gram doser,
regulates the amount of beans to grind per serving.
- Easy Clean System - Easily removable brew group
for chemical-free cleaning. Sliding wheel base for convenient
rotation.
- Cup Warming Surface - Controlled cup warming
surface holds up to six espresso cups.

Notes:
- Important information about warranty! Saeco
offers a one year parts and labor warranty limited to manufacturer's
defects. There are competitive web sites that offer free extended
warranties with purchase. Please make sure to read the fine print
- usually buried in their web sites 3 layers deep or not even
provided until you receive the order. Their gimmick for the second
year is that you pay for shipping both ways, pay for labor, and
there are charges if machine was not taken care of/maintained.
Saeco's one year warranty does pay shipping back to you and there
is no labor charge unless damaged by you or in transit.
- Printable manual found here.
- Some customers ask us what is the difference between the Saeco
Odea GO and GIRO models. There are 2 basic features that the Saeco
Odea GIRO have:
a) The GIRO has two boilers (thermo blocks) - one dedicated for
steam and one dedicated for coffee. this means there is no wait
time to get to steam mode to steam/froth the milk, and there is
no running of water through the steam wand to lower the temperature
of the coffee boiler as needs to occur in the Odea GO espresso
machine. This feature is known as Rapid Steam
b) On the GIRO interface dial, there is a push button with three
coffee beans pictured. This button allows the user to select how
much whole bean coffee gets ground. As each bean lights up, more
beans get ground and this adds to the strength of the espresso.
This is known as AROMA Opti-Dose.
- Do not use pre-flavored coffee beans in this or any other superautomatic
espresso machine, as the sugars on these beans could cause damage.
We recommend instead flavoring the coffee after it has been brewed.
- Pre-ground coffee can only be used in super automatics that have
a bypass doser. Unfortunately, the Odea line does not have this
feature.
- The orange version is no longer available.
