The guide is not a holder as some customers have suspected. The guide works well with Rancilio filter handles or other professional type filter handles that have a double spout. We tried the filter handles for Solis and Gaggia machines (two hole types), and we feel that these do NOT work well unless you remove the guide from the machine - which can be done by sliding the guide forward from the machine.
