Older models of the Mazzer Mini came with a tall bean hopper which made it hard to fit under cabinets. The newer style bean hopper brings the overall height to 17".

The adjustment wheel is removable so as to access the grinding chamber for cleaning. The small, removable black handle is used to micro-adjust the grind setting. The screw next to the handle and located on the top of the grind wheel (between numbers 0 and 1) limits the movement of the adjustment wheel to about 340 degrees. The screw can be removed to increase the range. The screw inset between number 3 and 4 is utilized to hold the hopper in place.

The built-in timer allows the unit to auto-shut off after the right amount of time - in other words, you can have the Mazzer Mini grind just the right amount of coffee based on time. However, if you keep the time the same and change the grind setting, the yield will be different.

This is a closeup view of the doser on the Mazzer Mini. The center knob is the adjustment knob that increases or decreases the amount of coffee that can be dispensed into the filter handle.
