| Mazzer Espresso Coffee Grinders
Mazzer, established at the end of the 1940s in the outskirts
of Venice, Italy, manufactures high quality grinders for use in
espresso coffee bars, restaurants, and homes. Whereas other Italian
grinder manufacturers produced private label grinders to espresso
machine manufacturers, Mazzer had decided to provide small, medium,
and large gourmet coffee roasters and bar owners with their own
brand name products. With this in mind, Mazzer has become the
standard of quality in the coffee industry world wide.
Please note as with all coffee grinders, it is very important
to only change grind settings on Mazzer coffee grinders when the
unit is powered 'on' and the burrs are in motion. If you do not
do this, the burrs will 'gunk' up and require cleaning by you
every time this occurs. Changing the grind settings when the burrs
are not in motion will render the grinder to only produce very
coarse grinds or no grinds at all. If this result occurs, this
will be considered operator error for lack of following directions,
and not be classified as a defective grinder. Mazzer grinders
are considered commercial equipment for grinding coffee only and
can not be returned once used.
1st-line Equipment, LLC is an importer for Mazzer espresso coffee
grinders. If you are interested in distributing/reselling Mazzer

Key differences on the high end grinders:
- Robur and Kony use conical burrs at low r.p.m. (500 r.p.m. at 60 Hz).
- Robur is for very busy locations and Kony for busy locations.
- Robur grinds about 300 grams/minute.
- Kony grinds about 180 grams/minute.
- This data can significantly vary depending on the blend of coffee, the hardness of the bean, bean moisture level, and the grind setting.
- Stark, Royal and Major use 83 mm flat burrs.
- Stark and Royal share all internal components except the housing. Both
grind at 1050 r.p.m at 60 Hz.
- Major grinds about 1600 r.p.m.
- Stark and Royal grind 280 grams/minute.
- Major grinds about 260 grams/minute.
- This data can significantly vary depending on the blend of coffee, the
hardness of the bean, bean moisture level, and the grind setting.
Please note:
We have confirmed that Mazzer tests EVERY grinder
with coffee beans before it leaves their facility, but they are not always
able to get every trace of coffee out of the grinders after testing. As
a result, you may find coffee beans or grinds inside your grinder, or
there may be grinds in the packaging when you unwrap it.
When replacing Mazzer burrs, NEVER use a flathead
screwdriver and hammer to wedge under the burrs for removal. This could
badly damage your machine.
Hopper Sizing:
Mazzer manufactures THREE different hoppers for the Mini and Super Jolly.
Each machine comes with a specific hopper.
You can order additional hoppers, but subustitutions/replacements of the
stock one are not allowed.
