After owning and going through a few ELECTRIC Pump-driven machines,
you only have one other type of machine to conquer. The Hand Lever,
Piston Operated Espresso Machines. With some finesse, you will be
able to make the best espresso on the best espresso machine manufactured
on this planet. Learning to use these machines in the beginning
will save you money in the long run. How? The two major components
to go on a home model electric espresso machine is the boiler, the
heating element, and the electric pump. It is usually not worthwhile
financially to repair these units; since it can be cheaper to buy
a new one.
The hand lever machines, that we are about to present, do not have
electric pumps. Your hand becomes the pump. Your hand also regulates
the pressure on the piston. In addition, these machines have nickel-plated
brass boilers with long lasting stainless steel heating elements.
This nickel-plated brass metal combination is found on the highest
end of commercial units and gives longevity to the boiler. We have
not found any other home models that have this durable nickel-plated
brass combination. |
