| Rocket Cellini Premium Semi Commercial
Espresso Machine
Overview:
The Cellini was "rated the best small commercial espresso
machine" by David Schomer of Cafe Vivace magazine of Seattle
and Derfeinschmecker magazine of Germany and dubbed the "Rolls
Royce" of filter handle espresso machines by Test magazine.
This espresso machine has a professional heavy-duty Faema E-61
coffee brewing group with thermosyphon circulation system. This
group is three times heavier than most non-commercial groups for
superior thermal stability.
As of June, 2007, ECM in Italy spun off the Giotto
Premium and Cellini Premium into a new company called Rocket Espresso.
Rocket
Espresso is now managed by Andrew Meo, from new Zealand, and
Daniele Berenbruch, the daughter of Friedrich Berenbruch (founder
of ECM). The purpose of the spin-off was to improve production
of these two very popular models which always had demand outstrip
supply on a worldwide basis. With Rocket Espresso formed, ECM
can better manage their production of their commercial espresso
machines.
With these changes, 1st-line Equipment, LLC has
moved from a sub-importer of the ECM Giotto Premium to a Master
Importer for the Rocket Espresso Cellini Premium.
This model is on closeout sale - after we run out, there will be no more. You can save a considerable amount of money. A common question is how is this different than the Premium version 2 Cellini - the most significant difference is the pressurstat - the Cellini Premium 2 has a full size pressure regulator whereas the version 1 Cellini Premium listed here has the smaller pressurstat (which requires more frequent replacement) - something you can do yourself if you are half-way handy.

Notes:
- The instructions state year of manufacture is 1997. This is
when the Giotto was first produced. Our inventory turnover occurs
several times a year so that our customers get the latest and
greatest production model.
- The instruction manual makes reference to black handles in the
reservoir. The Cellini Premium uses a superior low water sensor
that does not need these handles in the reservoir.
- Water Intake Expansion Hose - This hose is held in by friction
in the top left corner of the machine. Its purpose is to displace
excess water pressure in the water reservoir catch basin every
time the water reservoir is removed or placed back into position.
This hose sometimes falls off its holder in shipping. If it falls
off, there will be leakage of water from the machine when powered
off. To resolve, please remove the 4 screws off the top cover
and pull the water reservoir and top cover off. You will probably
find a hose on the floor. This hose needs to be placed into the
slot in the upper left hand corner of the machine. Once this accomplished,
put the cover, the 4 screws, and water tank in place. The leaking
should stop.

However, it can be more or less time depending upon the amount of magnesium and calcium is in your water, how often you use the machine, and how much time you leave the machine powered on each day.
