I bought a BZ02 waybackwhen from you and was great.. then I used the wrong portfilter and stripped the head. Still was able to use but poorly... then when I went to clean the head out, I couldn't seem to unscrew the screen off with a flathead. I'd like to use this machine again. First question, how can I do this? Is there a special wide flathead ? Is it clockwise to screw off ? Second, I'm looking for a new head or coupling ring whatever you call it, the piece that the portafilter lodges into. I believe I found it in the BZ02 Parts list... the image on page 71, Table 9, Part 6 ... on page 70 the part 6 Part # 5280505TW COUPLING RING WITH FLAT GASKET.

Sorry to hear about this. If the screw for the dispersion screen is difficult to remove, then the screen needs to be yanked out with pliers. Screw is counter-clockwise turning for removal when facing the screw head.

The grouphead bell would be a special order with at least 2-3 months lead time. It is usually not recommended on older machines as other things may go wrong.

    2. We bought a Bezzera BZ02 from you about 10 years ago. The machine works very well. However, its water tank has deformed enough at the contact points that they no longer make a reliable connection. Your website says that you've discontinued the tank (part# 7373006LL) but I wondered if you had access to one, or could tell me where to look.

Sorry, we no longer have access to these water reservoirs.

    4. I purchased my BZ02 DE from 1st Line several years ago. Recently it developed a problem. Unit Heats, but then stops heating, pump still works. when turning the machine on , the three lights on the display that normally flash, only the left, right flash, the middle light does not. I couldn’t find anything in the manual regarding the center light not flashing with the others. Unit heats, will stay hot for a while then the ‘green’ indicator light won’t come on showing heating, but the orange ‘power’ light stays on. If i let it cool off for several hours, it will heat again, but only briefly. Machine is used daily, descaled every six months. If you could suggest parts i might need to replace?

Answered by the admin It sounds like it can be the brain unit, or if there is a relay, it could be the relay. The only way to check is by replacing one part at a time.
