Detailed COMMENTARY of why Vibiemme
are SUPER BEST IN CLASS
Common features across all Vibiemme Domobar Super Espresso

water from the grouphead to the heat exchanger in the boiler.

until water reservoir is emptied.

single spout and single filter basket and one portafilter with
dual spout and double filter basket.

for on demand steam.
- Removable 3.8 liter pour-over water reservoir.
- Boiler pressure gauge to indicate boiler pressure (reading

varied by adjusting the full size pressurstat through the access
port under the cup warmer tray on top of machine.

extraction (reading will vary while not extracting).
- Multi-directional stainless steel steam wand on left side can
be moved in different directions.

can be moved in different directions.

is powered on.
- Heating light on left side indicates when espresso machine is
heating.
- Low water level light in middle indicates when water level in
water reservoir in rear is low

without sending power to the heating element (prevents damage
upon initial start up).
- Full size Parker pressurstat (rated as one of the best boiler
pressure regulators) monitors boiler pressure.
- Extremely large stainless steel drip tray which can be easily
(slides out with pull of handle) removed for cleaning. Grate stays
on machine when pulling out drip tray so that it is one step to
empty.
- GICAR branded electronic water level control for internal boiler
is located in lower right rear corner of machine where there is
least heat build up.
- 41 watt vibratory pump ("vibe" pump) rated up to
15 bar with air valve bypass.

exists) located in rear of machine with easy access when body

Notes:
- The
Philadelphia Inquirer stated "Even these high performers
were blown away, however, by the gleaming chrome gargantua of the
Vibiemme ($1,500), a retro- styled semi-commercial machine weighing
in at 63 pounds. With a computer board to monitor temperature, a
big boiler that transitions with no time delay between coffeemaking
and frothing (a major difference in some machines), and the option
of going fully automatic or manual, this was the luxury limousine
of the test. Its espresso was not just silky in texture, topped
with a swirling, multihued crema, it sang ethereal notes of fruitiness
and chocolate the other machines didn't produce."
- Problems with the valve leaking from tip -
With the machine COLD, you can bring out the knob, then loosen the nut right behind it. The entire steam will come out. You can also look inside the valve to make sure the 2 orings and cock gasket are intact as well as inspect the inside of the valve to make sure there is no debris. You can start the machine up and allow to heat up, BUT be really careful as hot water may start to spit out!

Service Notes:
Backflushing: This machine should be backflushed minimum once every 50 espresso extractions using Ascaso Detergent (our instructions included with purchase). This is only for cleaning the oils fromt he grouphead.
Descaling: This really is for internally cleaning of the machine. Recommended once every 3 months using Ascaso Descaler. However, it can be more or less time depending upon the amount of magnesium and calcium is in your water, how often you use the machine, and how much time you leave the machine powered on each day.
